Read and Rights UNICEF Book launch and readings

During the week beginning 20th November UNICEF NZ is
launching ‘For Each and Every Child: He Taonga Tonu te
Tamariki’, published for UNICEF by Learning Media.
This children’s picture book marks the 22nd anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCROC). Please join early childhood centres, libraries and schools as they introduce this book to children and their families to help ensure that everyone in our communities understands the importance of human rights.
This book has been illustrated by New Zealand artists and features Maori text alongside the English text. A special thanks to Barbara Lambourn of UNICEF for the drive and commitment to highlight the rights of children in Aotearoa New Zealand. UNCROC was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1989 and ratified by Aotearoa New Zealand in 1993. For more information:
